Ich lebe und arbeite in der Randstad, wo ich jeden Tag auf Beton und Ziegel blicke und die Schreie der Nachbarskinder höre. Glücklicherweise habe ich einen Job, der es mir ermöglicht, von zu Hause aus zu arbeiten, und im letzten Jahr habe ich einige Kollegen gesehen, die eine Workation gemacht haben – das ist Arbeit und Urlaub. Ich fand die Idee gut, und Winterberg-Niedersfeld wurde mein Ziel.
Niedersfeld ist ein kleines, ruhiges Dorf, etwa 7–8 km von Winterberg entfernt. Während meines Aufenthalts war dort nicht viel los; was für eine wunderbare Ruhe. Ich stand früh morgens auf, um einen Spaziergang in der Natur zu machen. Der Naturpfad beginnt nur 300 Meter von der Wohnung entfernt, und es gibt viele verschiedene Wanderwege. Ich arbeitete nachmittags ein paar Stunden; alles, was ich brauchte, war eine stabile Internetverbindung. Ich hatte gehört, dass die Internetgeschwindigkeiten in Deutschland oft langsamer sind als in den Niederlanden, aber für meine Arbeit war die Verbindung gut genug; Netflix war abends manchmal etwas langsam.
Da ich alleine dort war, war die Wohnung mehr als ausreichend. Es ist eine helle Wohnung mit Balkon. Da sie nicht im Tal liegt, hat man vom Balkon aus einen schönen Blick auf das restliche Dorf.
Die Wohnung befindet sich im obersten Stockwerk eines Gebäudes mit 7-8 weiteren Wohnungen. Während meines Aufenthalts in der Nebensaison habe ich keine Nachbarn gesehen oder gehört. In der Beschreibung war keine Waschmaschine erwähnt, aber es stellte sich heraus, dass es eine im Gebäude gab. Das nächste Mal werde ich also weniger Kleidung mitnehmen.
Der Wohnungsschlüssel musste in Winterberg abgeholt werden. Sowohl Check-in als auch Check-out erfolgten über eine Handy-App; es war kein Personal anwesend. Obwohl ich deswegen etwas nervös war, lief alles reibungslos. Die Wohnung war bei der Ankunft wunderschön sauber.
