Mas le Clos du Prieurs offers five generous, individually shaped apartments. All apartments are equipped with kitchen or kitchenette, refrigerator, gas stove and have a spacious bathroom with shower.
All apartments provide english satellite-TV (Astra), Internet access ( WLAN ) and direct access to the garden of the house. Garden furniture and a BBQ are available to you. In colder seasons, a central gas heating system provides cozy residential-comfort. You sleep in Queen or King size beds depending of the apartment, either on a loft or in separate bedrooms. Extra beds, cribs and high chairs are available. The parking area is on the property. It is secured with a remote controlled gate.
Mas le Clos du Prieurs is a lovely restored 250 year old farmhouse that is situated in the heart of the Provence at the foot of the Alpilles hills. It´s location makes it easy to reach many places of interest: Avignon, Arles, Nimes, Aix-en-Provence, Camargue, Les Beaux, Saint Remy de Provence and the little beautiful villages of Luberon.
Mas le Clos du Prieur sits in two acres of enclosed garden filled with scented Mediterranean plants and a shady century-old sycamore tree. It is surrounded by lush countryside fields where bulls and horses graze. Tastefully and authentically restored, this ravishing and romantic 250 year old house offers peace, joy of living and relaxation in an inviting atmosphere and a magical provencal setting. The Mas le Clos du Prieur will seduce you by the harmony between the well preserved architecture of the building and the comfort and beauty of the inside. The apartments offer an opportunity to savour the art of living "á la provencal". The romantic garden encloses a swimming pool with a flowered south facing courtyard. Individual terraces in front of each apartment will delight guests who love authenticity and tranquillity surrounded by the delightful songs of crickets.
Mas le Clos du Prieurs means “farm for prayers” and has been connected to the near monastery “Les Dames Blanches” in Móllèges. In the beginning monks found housing and silence here occasionally, until the house and its properties were used for agriculture.
The house with it´s rebuilt barns and over 250 year old rare well lies embedded into an extensive 8.000 qm2 big grounds and offers five beautiful apartments.
A7 `Route du Soleil´ down to Avignon-Sud. Follow N7 direction of Cavaillon/Salon to St. Andiol (approx. 8 km). In St. Andiol at the traffic light turn right direction of Móllèges. First street after the cemetery turn right into the Chemin des Sicard Paluds. After 1km there is a crossing. Just continue straight ahead and after 700 meters at your left side, opposite a small road you will find the estate with some AC units on the outside wall and the house number 703. Entrance to parking ground is on the right hand side of the compound (Red gate with the bamboo cane ). 50 meters left of the red gate is the red house door. There our name is written in little letters on the post box " Alves" and the house number 703 is written at the wodden construction of the entrance. Please pull the old metal ring.
