The cosy, 70 m² holiday home is located right in the centre of Greetsiel, hidden amongst the houses' gardens in 'Katrepel' alley, so that the impossible is achieved: the house is central, but you have it all to yourself. It features a private jetty on the old lock canal. From the spacious terrace and parlour, you have a direct view over the water and one Greetsiel's picturesque roads, Am Leeger.
Bath with shower, hallway and a walk-through living room and kitchen with dining corner are on the ground floor. Between the dining corner and living area, there is a spiral staircase that leads to the attic. In one bedroom, there are two beds; in the other, just one bed.
There are comfortable, upholstered furniture, satellite TV, radio and an iron fireplace oven in the living room.
Smoke-free since 2011.
High chair, 2 bicycles, private jetty, 2 bedrooms, central and still quiet,
Greetsiel was first mentioned in 1388 as a harbour town. The picturesque fishing harbour on the Leybucht used to be (1464 - 1744) the ancient East Frisian houses, the Cirksena.
Today, it is a popular holiday resort. Houses and streets have been meticulously restored to recreate the flair of the old East Frisian fishing village.
Nearly 30 crab cutters navigate the newly built Leysiel into the fishing harbour, independent of the tide. The twin windmills at the southern entrance to the town are trademarks of Greetsiel.
