Holiday destination
Bertsdorf, located in the scenic foothills of the Zittau Mountains in beautiful Upper Lusatia, was voted ‘Saxony's most beautiful village’ in 2003. This was followed in 2004 by the gold medal in the national competition ‘Our village should become more beautiful’. Bertsdorf is also the winner of the ‘European Village Renewal Award’. The abundance of lovingly restored half-timbered houses, some with imposing door frames, alone make a trip to Bertsdorf worthwhile.

Wir waren eine Woche im November im UHU Haus. Für Liebhaber alter Häuser ist dies ein Geheimtipp. Das Haus ist in einen sehr guten Zustand, sauber und Stilvoll mit schönen alten Möbeln eingerichtet. Wir haben noch nie in einem Ferienhaus soviel Betreuung und Infomaterial erhalten wie in dem UHU Haus, hier geht ein dickes Lob an den Vermieter der sich echt um seine Gäste kümmert. Wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen, vielen Dank dafür.

Das Häuschen und die Umgebung haben uns sehr gut gefallen. Alles war gemütlich und kuschelig. Gerne hätten wir mehr Zeit im Gärtchen verbracht, aber das Wetter kann man sich nicht aussuchen.
In der kalten Jahreszeit können wir es uns sehr gemütlich am Kachelofen vorstellen.
An den warmen, sonnigen Tagen hatten wir schöne Abende am Grill. Der 8 jährige Enkel freute sich über den Fernseher und rannte am Morgen gerne zum Bäcker.
Frau Tuppatsch und ihr Nachbar standen uns bei technischen Problemen schnell und hilfreich zur Seite.
