The well-kept Residencia Cala Dorada is, in our opinion, one of the most beautiful residences in town. It is within walking distance from the rocky coast and about 250 meters from the beautiful sandy bay Cala d'es Pou. The 50 meter long pool with its waterfalls and jacuzzi invites you to relax. There is a small bistro by the pool. There you can find cold drinks with and without alcohol (freshly tapped beer, cocktails), snacks hot/cold and ice cream in the season. A supermarket is directly opposite the complex. From the complex you can reach in a few minutes the center of Cala Egos with its cafes, restaurants, bars, as well as a shopping mile. Opening hours may vary seasonally.

In the southeast of Mallorca lies the beautiful resort of Cala d'Or. The place belongs to the municipality of Santanyi. The distance to the island capital Palma is about 60 kilometers. The picturesque bays are surrounded by craggy cliffs and green pine forests and are therefore a dream for all those seeking relaxation. Besides Calo des Pou (250 m) and Cala Egos (350 m) there are Cala Serena, Cala Ferrera, Cala Esmeralda and the biggest beach of the village Cala Cran, furthermore the Cala d'Or, which gives its name, in the immediate vicinity of the marina. A streetcar, the so called MiniTrenet, takes you regularly to the different beaches.
The center of Cala d'Or is very lively and offers a large number of stores, bars and restaurants with local and international cuisine. The beautiful marina is located in the largest bay Cala Llonga, offers moorings for exclusive yachts and charter boats and is lined with numerous bars and restaurants. This is a wonderful place to end the day.
Typical for Cala d'Or are the cubic houses with their dazzling white painted facades. The low-rise buildings were designed by Spanish architect Josep Costa Ferrer in the 1930s. The similarity to the Ibizan architectural style is no coincidence, as the architect was born on the neighbouring island of Ibiza.
By car: There are many car rental agencies at the airport. We recommend renting a car from Germany via the Internet. Attention: Take out fully comprehensive insurance without deductible online. When you are handed over at the airport, you are usually asked again to take out insurance, which would then be double.
By bus: There is a bus connection from the airport to Cala Egos/Cala d'Or. The buses leave during the season about every 1.5 hours and take 1 hour 15 minutes.

If this final payment is not made on time, this is considered (on the part of the Lessee) as a withdrawal from the contract and the deposit already paid will be retained by the Lessor as a flat cancellation fee. The booked date will then be made available again within three working days.
In case of booking less than 6 weeks before the beginning of the rental period, the full rental price (including the deposit and final cleaning fee) is to be transferred by the renter immediately after receiving the booking confirmation.
If there is a travel warning due to the Corona pandemic for Mallorca, the renter can cancel the contract free of charge if due to the pandemic the booked flight is cancelled by the company or the tenants have to go into quarantine.
The local tourism tax is 2,20 Euro a day for each guest 16 years or older.
