Dornum is the ideal starting point for trips to Greetsiel, Norddeich, Neßmersiel, Carolinensiel and Neuharlingersiel, where you can take a ferry to the various islands. By car these can all be reached in max. 30 minutes. It's also only a few minutes drive to the beach, swimming pool and fishing harbour of Dornumersiel, while Aurich-Tannenhausen has a large lake which is great for swimming and picnics.
