If there's still such a thing as an insider tip on the CÃ´te d'argent, it's probably Labenne. Most families, as well as couples seeking tranquility, who have once vacationed in this smaller, quieter town, return for various reasons time and again. They appreciate, on the one hand, Labenne's central location, situated exactly in the middle between Hossegor and Bayonne. While the established center is about 4 km from the coast, most holiday homes in Labenne-OcÃ©an are within walking distance to the beach (200 m to 900 m). You won't find large apartment complexes or hotels here. Apart from a few campsites on the outskirts, Labenne-OcÃ©an consists exclusively of individual, detached houses and villas in an absolutely quiet environment, mostly surrounded by large garden plots. Labenne has long ceased to be a mere holiday resort. Even out of season, the majority of the houses are inhabited, as many affluent families have settled here, working in Bayonne, 10 km away. The kilometers-long, wide, fine sandy beach is inviting for both swimming and solitary beach walks. Outside the guarded beach section, nudism is also possible. The natural dunes are completely undeveloped, and the pine forest reaches right up to the dunes to the north and south of Labenne-OcÃ©an. The main bathing beach is supervised from mid-June to the beginning of September. There, you'll find a nice children's playground as well as some beach cafÃ©s offering refreshments and snacks. Two smaller supermarkets, a bakery, and a few restaurants are also available. A large supermarket and additional dining establishments are located in the town center, 3 km away. Labenne offers ideal conditions for joggers, horse riders, inline skaters, and cyclists. On the freshly paved bike path, you can cycle through the pine forest along a small footpath, off the road, heading south to the gates of Bayonne and north to the Bassin dâ€™Arcachon (about 100 km). Additionally, there are tennis courts, a modern outdoor pool with water slides, and two surf schools. If the weather isn't so good, a visit to the 1,200 mÂ² wellness center with a sauna, hammam, massages, and an indoor pool is worthwhile. In the town center, there is also a lovingly designed (petting) zoo, a monkey and a reptile enclosure. World-famous places like Biarritz to the south and Hossegor to the north can be reached in just a few minutes by car. A trip to the nearby Pyrenees or the picturesque Basque Country is also recommended.

Als 1. Ein grosses Lob an Herrn Bell. Er beantwortete alle Fragen die wir hatten. Ich schätzte das sehr, da wir zum 1. Mal eine FW buchten. Unsere FW in Labenne war ein Traum! Der Vorplatz mit Pool war sehr schön vor allem für mein Kleinkind. Der Pool war umzäunt, wodurch mein Sohn sich den ganzen Tag draussen austoben konnte. Das Haus hatte wirklich alles was man braucht. Top war die Waschmaschine, somit konnten wir mit sauberen Kleidern nach Hause. Der Ort selbst war ein Traum. Der Strand sah wirklich wie auf Google aus. Es ist wirklich nicht übertrieben. Es war ein traumhafter Strand mit wenigen Menschen vor Ort. Etwas schade war einerseits, dass man wegen dem Wetter nicht im Meer schwimmen konnte. Zudem muss man unbedingt wissen, dass in der Nebensaison die Busse nicht fahren. Aber dafür gab es Uber.

Ein umzäunter Pool ist für einen entspannten Urlaub mit Kleinkind einfach Gold wert – so können die Kleinen sicher toben und den Garten genießen, während die Eltern durchatmen. Schön, dass auch die voll ausgestattete Einrichtung, wie die praktische Waschmaschine, Ihren Aufenthalt noch angenehmer und unkomplizierter gemacht hat. Traumstrand und wertvolle Tipps zur Nebensaison Dass der Strand von Labenne Ihre Erwartungen voll erfüllt hat und Sie die Ruhe abseits der großen Massen genießen konnten, teile ich absolut. Ich bedauere natürlich, dass die Temperaturen das Schwimmen im Meer nicht zugelassen haben. Ihr transparenter Hinweis zu den eingeschränkten Busverbindungen in der Nebensaison ist zudem ein sehr wertvoller Tipp für zukünftige Gäste – gut, dass Sie mit Fahrdiensten wie Uber dennoch flexibel und mobil bleiben konnten! Das Ferienhaus mit Pool ist sehr schön. Der Vermieter sowie der Vermittler äußerst nett und hilfsbereit. Die Bilder sind bereits etwas älter und mittlerweile ist ein Zaun um den Pool herumgebaut, was für uns eher lästig aber sicher für viele von Vorteil ist. Das Haus ist optimal für 2 Familien mit 2-3 Kindern geeignet. Es gibt 4 Schlafräume und zwei Bäder, je mit getrennten WCs. Die Küchenausstattung ist sehr gut. Beim nächsten Mal würden wir allerdings ein scharfes Messer mitbringen. Der Vermittler Herr Bell war sehr dankbar über unsere Rückmeldung zum Thema Sauberkeit. Wer schon in Frankreich war kennt vermutlich das Thema. Das Haus liegt fußläufig zum wunderschön leeren (unbewachten) Strand. Aber auch der Hauptstrand, Wanderwege sowie das Örtchen sind problemlos zu Fuß zu erreichen.

Es freut mich sehr, dass Ihnen das Haus, der Pool und die Lage so gut gefallen haben und dass Sie mit der Ausstattung zufrieden waren. Der neu errichtete Poolzaun entspricht den in Frankreich vorgeschriebenen Sicherheitsauflagen. Mir ist bewusst, dass er für manche Gäste eher ungewohnt oder lästig wirken kann, für Familien mit kleinen Kindern bietet er jedoch ein unverzichtbares Plus an Sicherheit. Vielen Dank auch für Ihren Hinweis zur Sauberkeit sowie zur Küchenausstattung – ich nehme diese Anregung ernst und gebe sie gern an die Eigentümer weiter. Anmerken möchte ich, dass die Terrasse bei Ihrer Ankunft nicht wie gewohnt gefegt werden konnte, da Sie vor dem vereinbarten Mietbeginn eingetroffen sind und darum gebeten hatten, dort Ihr Gepäck abzustellen. Schön, dass Sie die Nähe zum Strand und zum Ort so genossen haben. Ich würde mich sehr freuen, Sie bei einer nächsten Gelegenheit wieder als Gäste in einem Ferienhaus in Labenne, Capbreton, Hossegor, Seignosse oder Vieux-Boucau begrüßen zu dürfen.
