Kappeln (Danish: Kappel) is a town in the district of Schleswig-Flensburg in Schleswig-Holstein. The Schlei town is originally a fishing town and was a garrison town until June 2006 (Olpenitz). Kappeln has a central function for Angeln in the east and Schwansen in the north. There are several landing stages besides the small harbour.
Getting there
Arrival by car:
Coming from Autobahn A7 (E45) towards Hamburg/Kiel/Flensburg,
exit no. 8 (Rendsburg, Büdelsdorf, first exit behind the Kiel Canal).
Continue on the B203 via Eckernförde to Kappeln or until exit no. 5 (Schleswig, Schuby) and after via B201 directly to Kappeln.

Sehr sauber, ruhig und dennoch fussläufig zur Innenstadt, haben unser Auto eine Woche nicht bewegt, sind nur spazieren gegangen und Fahrrad gefahren.
