Holiday destination
The Strandcafé Sturmeck, with its restaurant, is located in the immediate vicinity.
The town centre is about 15 minutes away on foot via the promenade. The Gezeitenland, with the swimming pool, the panoramic sauna, the fitness and wellness area are about 20 minutes away.
Getting there
When you arrive on the island, you have various ways of getting to us:
You can use the historic island railway which will take you the 7 km to the town centre. From there, either walk towards the beach, take a right and walk along the promenade to your accommodation. It's a walk of about 15 minutes.
You can check your luggage at the outer port in Emden or right from home. It will be brought directly to the accommodation so that you can make your first little beach walk to us without your luggage.
There are taxis at the port of Borkum that can be ordered in advance (tel. 04922-1001). There is also a bus connection you c an ask about at the AG Ems.
If you are coming to Borkum by car, you can drive right to your holiday accommodation at Café Sturmeck without an exceptional permit. The town centre (red zone) is closed to private cars in the high season. The blue zone has a night driving prohibition for cars without special permits from 9:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.
There is bike rental very near the holiday apartments.

Eine sehr gepflegte, modern und geschmackvoll eingerichtete Ferienwohnung. Die Lage ist einmalig und der Strand für Naturliebhaber ein Muss. Der Kontakt und die kurzfristige Buchung mit Frau Renner ist unproblematisch und freundlich verlaufen. Die Fewo ist allergikerfreundlich und gut ausgestattet. Sehr ruhig gelegen und der Parkplatz direkt am Haus. 100 % Weiterempfehlung. Wir kommen wieder...

Kurzfristig haben wir die Wohnung unkompliziert buchen können.
Die Wohnung ist sehr sauber, nett eingerichtet und praktisch. Die Lage ist zwar etwas abseits, aber für Ruheliebhaber wie uns, genau richtig. Parkplatz und WLan, top. Der Nähe zum Strand ist ein absoluter Pluspunkt.
Wir bedanken uns für die Vermietung und werden bestimmt nochmal zurückkehren.
