Other recreational opportunities

Sightseeing boat tours to the seal banks, tiny islands (Halligen) and the other fresian islands. Bycicle rides to the different villages with special cafes which serve fresian cake specialities. The 3 very old churches are definetly worth a visit. 2 Museums can be visited.

Holiday destination

For fresh breakfast rolls you only have to cross the street and by doing so you can have a first view of the ocean. The board walk is like the beach about 200m away but far enough to enjoy the quiet apartment near the pedestrian zone. Wellness Center can also be reached by foot. Restaurants as well as all kinds of shops can easely be reached without a car. Parking space is avaiable on the street or on a free parking areas about 300m Iland Parking or 200m at the Post office.

Getting there

Please remember to book a ferry for your car at www.faehre.de and inform us of your time of arrival. How to get to the apartement by car: Follow the general traffic flow until you reach the first traffic light. Now turn left, pass the island parking area to the intersection at the end of the street. Again turn left and drive on the Badestr. to the Süderstr. (pedestrian traffic light) where you have to turn left again. At the next street turn right. The first house on your right is Johannesstr. 2. Without a car Walk parallel to the water along the Königsstr. and Sandwall untill you come to the Süderstr. Turn right into the Süderstr. and walk to the the Johannesstr. which starts to the right. The first house on the right side is Johannesstr. 2

Host informationMy family roots have been here on the island for many generations. Raised in Wyk I (Birgit Ladewig) always wanted to return some day to live here. 2012 we moved into this 100 year old fully renovated Haus with the included apartement

Wir hatten schöne Urlaubstage in dieser gemütlichen und gut ausgestatteten Fewo verbracht. Die zentrale und nicht allzu touristische Lage war ideal, um durch die netten kleinen Strassen zu schlendern, am Meer entlang zu promenieren oder sich in den Strandkorb zu legen. Der Park an der Mühle ( wenige Meter vom Haus entfernt) war ein sehr schöner Ort, den wir immer wieder gerne aufgesucht haben. Fahrräder können problemlos untergestellt werden. Der Kaffee und die selbstgemachte Marmelade, die wir als Gastgeschenk erhalten haben, waren vorzüglich

In diesem sehr schönen, zentral gelegenen Apartment haben wir uns rundum wohl gefühlt. Es ist so gemütlich und mit einem Blick fürs Detail eingerichtet, dass keine Wünsche offen bleiben. Die Lage so dicht am Strand und der Seebrücke ist einfach nur toll. Der Bäcker schräg gegenüber auch ... ; ) Unsere Gastgeber habe sich sehr viel Mühe gegeben. (Das Quittengelee schmeckt super!) Wir haben unseren schönen Kurzurlaub auf Föhr sehr genossen und können das Apartment Strandläufer nur wärmstens weiterempfehlen.
