There are many activities to be done on the water as well as at the shore of the nature reserve: fishing, go out with the boat, bird watching and hiking. The use of canoes is free of charge. (Motorboats to hire)
A beautiful cycling track is through the dunes to the ocean. Another time worthy attraction is the ocean and the white sanded beach as well as the flower fields and the old towns in the area.

Holiday destination
The small nature reserve called „Das Reich der 1000 Inseln“ is a very beautiful area. An Eldorado for fishers, bird watchers, swimmers, etc…
Broek op langedijk is 10km away from the North See (mountains, Schoorl, Petten)
In spring, tulips and other flower fields are easily to be reached with the bicycle or by car. In Broek op langedijk you can find the oldest auction place of Europe. Vegetebales and potatoes were auctioned on a boat. Today it is a museum.
In a reaching distant you can find many old towns: Alkmaar, Hoorn, Enkhuizen, Volendam .
Amsterdam is only 45km from our house and can be reached in 45 minutes by train.
The village has many restaurants and cafes (with terrace).
A supermarket is to be found in 500m.

Wir sind als Familie mit einem Kind verreist. Die Wohnung liegt sehr idyllisch und trotzdem zentral mit traumhaftem Ausblick. Supermarkt, Restaurants etc. sind in wenigen Gehminuten sehr gut erreichbar. Die Wohnung ist gemütlich und zweckmäßig eingerichtet. Die Lage ist wunderschön! Die Vermieter sind sehr freundlich, hilfsbereit und sprechen fließend Deutsch. Die Schlafbereiche liegen etwas verwinkelt, sind aber nicht räumlich abgetrennt (es gibt keine Türen zwischen den Schlafbereichen). Zur Wohnung gehören verschiedene Kanus und ein Paddelboot. In der Nähe kann man aber auch ein Fluisterboot (mit kleinem Motor, KEIN Bootsführerschein erforderlich) mieten, um den Ort auf den vielen Wasserwegen zu erkunden. Sehr zu empfehlen! Wir haben die Zeit dort sehr genossen und kommen bestimmt nochmal wieder.

Wir waren letztes Jahr bereits in dieser Ferienwohnung und haben jetzt wieder einen tollen Urlaub hier verbracht. Die Vermieter sind sehr nett und sympathisch. Der Ort ist eine gute Ausgangslage um die gesamte Gegend zu erkunden. Viel Spaß macht es auch mit den zur Wohnung gehörenden Booten den Ort vom Wasser aus zu erkunden. Ein rundum gelungener Urlaub!
