Located 10 minutes from Besançon and its UNESCO World Heritage Citadel, the Maison du Fort de Fontain, perched atop a 19th-century fort, boasts a magnificent view of the Besançon hills and the Jura mountains.
Getting there
The Fort House of Fontain is located at the highest point in the village of Fontain.
If you don't have a GPS or prefer to admire the scenery, follow us! Once you
reach the village center, at the wash house, take the road to the fort.
Continue uphill following the red lampposts: when you reach the last one, continue along the road to the fort in the middle and follow the green lampposts to the end.
