Holiday destination
You'll find three national parks in the area surrounding Sveti Filip i Jakov: Paklenica canyon (70 km), the Krka falls (45 km) and the Kornati archipelago (150 islands, 18 km).
The Plitvice lakes can also be reached by car in around 1.5 hours (150 km).
As well as these famous national parks, you'll also find three nature parks in the nearby area:
Lake Vrana (9km) is the largest freshwater lake in the entire Adriatic region.
Telašćica bay on the island of Dugi Otok is around 14 nautical miles away and is famous for its impressive cliffs and its Silver lake.
The majestic Velebit mountains rise up into the sky around 50 km away. You can even see the Italian coast (around 200 km away) from their peaks on a clear day.
Getting there
Please take the motorway towards Zagreb-Split, take the "Zadar II" exit and then drive towards Biograd n/m (Biograd na Moru). You'll reach the village of Sveti Filip i Jakov around 3km before Biograd.
Turn towards the centre (a right turn if you're coming from the direction of Zadar and a left turn if you're coming from the direction of Biograd). Take a left turn past the sports ground and then take an immediate right past the church. Follow the street and you'll see the Villa Mare on your left-hand side after around 600 metres.
You can travel to Zadar airport (23 km) or Split airport (110 km) if you want to travel by air. Transfers from Zadar and Split airports are possible by prior arrangement.

Hiermit möchten wir uns nochmal ganz herzlich bei Marica und Paul bedanken. Wir wurden super nett im Empfang genommen und nach der ausführlichen Besichtigung der Wohnung diese bezogen. Die kommenden Tage stand uns Anton immer mit Rat und Tat zu stelle, gab uns viele Tipps für Ausflüge oder auch Weinhandel. Die Wohnung ist traumhaft schön und es fehlt an nix. Große Räume, mehrere Balkone und zwei Bäder waren mehr als ausreichend für uns. Die Tage vergingen wie so häufig viel zu schnell sodass wir am letzen Tag noch unser bestelltes Olivenöl bei Anton abgeholt haben (das beste Olivenöl was wir bis jetzt hatten).
Anton hatte für uns und unsere Tochter noch Geschenke, auch hierfür nochmals vielen Dank.
Eine traumhafte Wohnung und einer sehr schönen Gegend, welches wir jeden nur wärmstens empfehlen können.
