Holiday destination
You'll find three national parks in the area surrounding Sveti Filip i Jakov: Paklenica canyon (70 km), the Krka falls (45 km) and the Kornati archipelago (150 islands, 18 km).
The Plitvice lakes can also be reached by car in around 1.5 hours (150 km).
As well as these famous national parks, you'll also find three nature parks in the nearby area:
Lake Vrana (9km) is the largest freshwater lake in the entire Adriatic region.
Telašćica bay on the island of Dugi Otok is around 14 nautical miles away and is famous for its impressive cliffs and its Silver lake.
The majestic Velebit mountains rise up into the sky around 50 km away. You can even see the Italian coast (around 200 km away) from their peaks on a clear day.
Getting there
Please take the motorway towards Zagreb-Split, take the "Zadar II" exit and then drive towards Biograd n/m (Biograd na Moru). You'll reach the village of Sveti Filip i Jakov around 3km before Biograd.
Turn towards the centre (a right turn if you're coming from the direction of Zadar and a left turn if you're coming from the direction of Biograd). Take a left turn past the sports ground and then take an immediate right past the church. Follow the street and you'll see the Villa Mare on your left-hand side after around 600 metres.
You can travel to Zadar airport (23 km) or Split airport (110 km) if you want to travel by air. Transfers from Zadar and Split airports are possible by prior arrangement.

Wir, 3 Erwachsene und ein Kind, haben uns von Anfang bis Ende unseres Urlaubs bei Familie Prpic sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Ferienwohnung ist super. Es ist alles vorhanden. Sauber, ordentlich, gemütlich und mit einem tollen Blick aufs Meer.
Unser Gastgeber Herr Prpic hat uns von Anfang an bestens betreut. Vielen Dank dafür. Sveti Filip i Jakov hat tolle Bars und Gaststätten. Wir empfehlen Restaurant Andrea und Pristan.
Und nicht zu vergessen der leckere Prosek. Die Umgebung ist traumhaft, vorallem per Boot. Zadar, Sibenik Top.Nicht zu vergessen, der fantastische Ausblick von Vidikovac Kamenjak auf den Vraner See, das Meer und die vielen Inseln und die Kornaten.
