The towns of Schagen, Hoorn, Schoorl, or Bergen are always worth a day trip.
An absolute "must" is the famous cheese market in Alkmaar on Fridays.
If the weather isn't suitable for the beach, a visit to Amsterdam is a great alternative. A boat trip through the canals and waterways is beautiful.
Fort Kijduin (Den Helder) - an old fort built in 1811 by Napoleon, now expanded into a museum including a large North Sea aquarium. In Den Helder, you can also visit the Naval Museum.
Horseback riding on the beach or taking a surfing or kite surfing course is possible.
No matter the season - Julianadorp aan zee is worth a visit!

Julianadorp aan Zee, located south of Den Helder and the island of Texel, is worth a visit at any time of year. In spring, one can marvel at a sea of beautiful flower fields. In summer, enjoy the beach, sun, and sea. In autumn, let the wind blow around your nose and enjoy the last warm sunny days. Winter brings storm surges that really stir up the beach.
In the village, you'll find everything you need for daily life: many shops, supermarkets, a bakery, a butcher, a fish shop, cafes, restaurants, mini-golf, a bowling alley, a swimming pool, etc.
The cozy beach pavilion is open all year round.
Getting there
You can reach us via the A9 towards Amsterdam up to Alkmaar, then the N9 to Julianadorp aan Zee, or by train to Den Helder station.

Hallo...wir haben eine tolle woche leider hinter uns....die wohnung ist sehr schön, vor allem sehr sauber..da haben die gastgeber wirklich an alles gedacht...würde jeder zeit wieder buchen
