Are you looking for peace, relaxation, fresh Baltic Sea air and the great outdoors? Our holiday apartment in Hof Gronow is just 400m from the very flat, sandy natural beach (ideal for children and dogs) with a view of Rügen, in a perfect location between Stralsund and Greifswald. At the transition between Strelasund and Greifswalder Bodden is the coastal hiking trail in the nature reserve with a wonderful view over the Bodden to Rügen. Here you can observe the many water birds that breed there all year round, such as seagulls, swans, coots, terns and especially the popular migratory birds greylag goose and the famous Grus Grus (cranes). In bad weather, you can reach all the infrastructure and entertainment options in the cities much better and faster from here than from Rügen! There is a free slipway for sports and fishing boats on Tremter Beach, it is a paradise for water sports enthusiasts (kite surfers and surfers, stand-up paddlers) and anglers (garfish, pike-perch, herring and much more), hikers, dog owners, those seeking peace and quiet and cyclists. Stahlbrode can be reached via the Boddenweg (to the north) in about 4 km, where you will find restaurants, a fish shop at the harbor, and a boat rental in the small marina. Gristow can be reached via the Boddenweg (to the south through the forest) in about 4.5 km, where you will find the small village shop with post office and a good fish restaurant in the small harbor (about 4.8 KM). By car ferry from Stahlbrode (car about 6.5 KM) you can reach Rügen with the fine, wide sandy beaches in the large seaside resorts or insider tips such as Palmer Ort (opposite Tremter Beach on Rügen). It takes about 35 minutes to drive to the seaside resort of Lubmin.
By car you can reach the full infrastructure in the oldest city in Pomerania, the Hanseatic city of Stralsund (about 20 minutes): medieval city center, Oceanarium, maritime museum, zoo, theater, doctors, shopping centers. Or in about 15 minutes the university and Hanseatic city of Greifswald with the famous medieval market square and the city harbor on the Ryck, the beach and monastery ruins in Eldena, the theater, the zoo and full infrastructure.
It takes about 1 hour to drive to Usedom or the Fischland-Darss-Zingst peninsula.
Other destinations: Marlow bird park (about 65 KM), Störtebeker Festival in Ralswiek (55KM), Hiddensee island (by ferry from Schaprode, for example), Karls Erlebnisdörfer (for example in Zirkow, about 55KM).
Nearest shops in Gristow (approx. 6 km village shop), Reinberg (approx. 4 km, doctor, bank), Neuenkirchen (approx. 12 km: supermarkets, hardware store, drugstore, hairdresser, ATM, post office, etc.) or Brandshagen (approx. 10 km, supermarket).
Nearest train station in Miltzow (approx. 7 km) or Jeeser (approx. 6 km), ICE connection in Stralsund or Greifswald.

Es war eine sehr schöne Urlaubszeit, das Haus ist ausgestattet mit allem was man brauchen könnte und noch mehr, an einem heißen Tag bekamen wir sogar noch einen Pool für unseren Hund, mit dem wir den komplett eingezäunten Garten genießen konnten.
Sehr nette Vermieter, super schnelle Kommunikation. Für einen ruhigen und entspannten Urlaub mit Hund sehr zu empfehlen.

Es war eine wunderschöne Woche in diesem Ferienhaus. Die Ausstattung des Hauses perfekt, alles was gebraucht wird, ist vorhanden. Nicht nur wir, auch unsere Hündin Nelli, hat sich sehr , sehr wohl gefühlt.
Familie Witte vermietet mit diesem Haus ein Paradies . Natürlich hatten wir auch das optimale Wetter. Unsere Bewertung für dieses Ferienhaus lässt hiermit ein hervorragend zu. Besser geht.nicht.
