Holiday destination Portiragnes Plage
Welcome to Portiragnes Plage in the South of France at the Mediterranean Sea.
The village Portiragnes is surrounded by a vineyard and the "Canal du Midi", that is under a preservation order and invites you to a boat trip.
There are light yellow sandy shores, lagoons and ponds with many wader birds.
You can enjoy sports, such as (wind) surfing, fishing, biking or in-line skating. During summer, the little beach promenade offers restaurants, shops, shows, night clubs, a water chute, minigolf and a lot more.
In the open country you will see Carmague horses. Within the nature reserve you can enjoy horse-back riding.
Portiragnes is a naturally grown village without any multi-storey buildings and only few spots of concrete.
Nature conservation is a main concern, which is very much appreciated by the holiday guests. The flora and fauna reminds of the Carmargue and is therefore affectionately called "Petite Carmargue" (little Carmargue).
During winter, Portiragnes Plage is very relaxing and quiet. There are many cultural places and cities to visit. As our vacation home can be heated, so it is very comfortable and cosy, even in winter.
