Holiday destination
Medulin is a smaller place with beautiful beaches and beautiful islands that can be reached quickly and safely. Nearby is the Kamenjak Nature Park, which is definitely worth a visit.
Not far from Medulin is the city of Pula with several world-famous cultural monuments. The town in Istria that can be found in every tourist map of Croatia. Pula is 3000 years old and has wonderful remains from all eras to prove it. The most famous and largest monument in Pula is the amphitheater from the 1st century. It is perfectly preserved, so various events are held here today. Other remains from antiquity are also worth visiting. So don't miss the old city gates, the Arch of the Sergians, the Temple of Augustus and many other less famous but no less attractive attractions from the Middle Ages (palaces and the Venetian fortress on the central hill) and the period of Austrian rule (Secession and fortress architecture ) to admire. Brijuni National Park can be visited from Fažana, an old fishing village with beautiful beaches. The Brijuni archipelago has so much to show. The largest of them, Veli Brijun, is open to visitors. What amazes is the beautiful nature with the tame animals, the tranquility and the interesting history of the islands.
