The Blaue Kiekendief is located in close proximity to the forest and dunes, right in the heart of the nature area De Dennen, which is part of the National Park "Duinen van Texel". The Blaue Kiekendief is the perfect starting point for numerous activities in the forest and dunes, beach and sea. Just 2 km away is the beach pavilion Paal 17, where you can enjoy a delicious lunch, for example. For children, the swimming paradise Calluna, Ecomare, and the Shipwreck and Beachcomber Museum Flora are just a stone's throw away. For horse lovers, numerous bridle paths lead through the forest and dunes across Texel. Several horse farms are located in the immediate vicinity. The villages of De Koog, with its cozy terraces, and Den Burg, the shopping center of Texel with its very trendy street food bar, are just a few kilometers from de Kiekendief.
