This part of the Alps is very varied in terms of scenery and famous even beyond the German borders. There are not many places like this, where you will find mighty mountains, e. g. the Trettach or the Mädelegabel, next to lush mountain pastures or deceptive green, but very steep grassy mountains such as the unique Höfats or the Schneck. Three mountain railways, well-built mountain paths or trails, via ferratas that are checked for safety and 8 DAV shelters make sure that you will enjoy this unique natural monument, which is the biggest nature reserve in Swabia.
