The romantic holiday home (built around 1650, fully renovated in 2017) in the 'Fischerei' street in Dießen, an excellent location. Quietly situated but also within walking distance to the lake promenade, shops, restaurants, train station, cinema and recreational activities.
2 bedrooms, living room (can be turned into a third bedroom), dining room, 2 bathrooms, each with a shower, WC and sink. The larger bathroom has a bidet. The well equipped kitchen has a washing machine with dryer and features underfloor heating.
DVDs, German and English books, and a large selection of kids' books and comics are available. Dießen has a train station with connections to Weilheim, Schongau and Munich.

Our holiday home is located in Dießen, on lake Ammersee's west shore. Dießen is a beautiful, vibrant town with numerous shops, restaurants, a cinema, a baroque abbey, train station and various cultural offerings.
You can try various water sports, such as windsurfing, sailing and swimming. The region is a perfect place to go hiking, cycling or simply to chill out and relax. There are several cycling and hiking trails (maps are available in the apartment). Ski areas such as Garmisch and around the "Zugspitze" can be reached easily and quickly.
The abbey is worth seeing and you can walk there from the house. And the famous Andechs Abbey -a brewery and pilgrimage site- (also known for its strong beer) is a 15-minute drive away. It is also a great starting point for trips to a number of historic towns and castles. Munich, Augsburg, Landsberg, Weilheim, Schongau, Garmisch, Altötting as well as the famous castles Neuschwanstein and Linderhof are within easy driving distance. Salzburg and Nuremberg are a little further away, but still within striking distance.
Our holiday home is located 53 km south-west of Munich. The nearest train station is only 500m from the house and the regional train will take you to Munich's city centre.
The holiday residence is also within easy driving distance to Weilheim (16 km) and Schongau (30 km).
