Holiday destination
Egmond aan Zee is a small village nestled in the dunes. Located directly by the sea, it is the holiday destination of choice for sun worshippers, walkers, and cyclists.
Once you've visited Egmond, you'll want to return time and again. There's plenty to do for both young and old.
The center of Egmond aan Zee is just a 5-minute walk away. There you'll find fine restaurants, bicycle rental services, charming shops and boutiques, cozy sun terraces, as well as a large supermarket and a bakery.
Stroll leisurely past the small shops and cafes towards the lighthouse and the boulevard, watching the sun set into the sea. Wander through the dune belt to one of the protected sandy paths in the area and find your way back.
Getting there
You will take the A12 from Germany towards Arnhem, Utrecht.
At Utrecht, take the A2 towards Amsterdam.
After about 25 km, take the A9 towards Amstelveen and then after 20 km continue on the A9 towards Alkmaar.
Then take the Alkmaar/Heiloo exit, 3/4 roundabout towards Heiloo and then Egmond. Continue following the signs towards Egmond aan Zee.

Wir waren im Juli 2026 für eine Woche in dem Ferienhaus. Die Lage ist unschlagbar, keine 5 Minuten zu Fuß und man ist am Boulevard / Strand. Auch die Restaurants und Fußgängerzone war unter 10 Minuten erreichbar. Der nächstgelegene Fahrradladen war auch in 5 Minuten erreichbar.
Die Vermieterin war sehr freundlich und hatte bei Fragen stets ein offenes Ohr.
Wie oben in der Beschreibung auch steht ist das Ferienhaus nur 50m² groß. Mit 4 Erwachsenen und 1 Kleinkind natürlich sehr eng, jedoch wussten wir dies vorher und hatten uns darauf eingestellt. Das Badezimmer im OG ist sehr eng und auch das Waschbecken könnte etwas größer sein. Die Toilette im EG hat kein Waschbecken.
Die Sauberkeit hätte etwas besser sein können, da noch viel Staub vorallem im OG in den Schlafzimmern war.
