We are not only located in a wonderful hiking area, but you can also explore the Black Forest by mountain bike, e-bike, or bicycle. Small huts, cafes, and good restaurants can be found all along the paths. Or simply jump into the lake for a while. In summer, Lake Titisee, Lake Winfgfällweoiher and Lake Schluchsee are not far away. The Mathisleweiher is considered a hidden gem, but you can only get there on foot or by bike.
Holiday destination
The Hirschlehaus is located about 1.5 km outside of Hinterzarten, in a sunny, open location, in the middle of the nature reserve; surrounded by meadow and forest. The hiking trails are right on our doorstep.
The heated lido in Titisee is only 2 km away. The water park in Titisee is only 3 km away.
About 12 km to Schluchsee, in winter 400 m to the ski bus stop to the Feldberg ski area.
The nearest cross-country ski trail is 500 m away. A Greek restaurant is about 300 m away. There are other guesthouses in the surrounding area.
Getting there
From Freiburg, take the B31 towards Donaueschingen for about 30 km to Hinterzarten.
From Stuttgart via the Singen motorway to Donaueschingen, then towards Titisee Neustadt, Hinterzarten.

Wir hatten einen wundervollen Aufenthalt in der gemütlichen Ferienwohnung und haben jede Minute genossen. Die herzliche und gastfreundliche Art unserer Gastgeber hat uns sofort willkommen geheißen und wir haben uns direkt wie Zuhause gefühlt. Die Ferienwohnung war sehr sauber und es hat uns an nichts gefehlt.
Das Bett war zwar eng aber sehr kuschelig, und die Dachschrägen haben uns einige Beulen gekostet. Aber das gemütliche Wohnzimmer war der perfekte Ort, um sich nach einem langen Wandertag zu entspannen.
Nicht nur wir, sondern auch unser treuer Begleiter hat sich direkt pudelwohl gefühlt.
Wir konnten die ganze Woche zum Wandern nutzen und sind von der wundervollen Landschaft schwer beeindruckt.
