We spent the first week of July in Punta Ala, which seems to surprise every Italian we tell. The area was developed in the 1970s and vacationers are mostly Italians. It is a lovely verdant spot, with many beautiful beaches which require some youthful energy to get to. The Villa Raciti was everything as promised. The house is a little eccentric, filled with art of all sorts, many doorways, exits and entrances. It was entirely comfortable for our family of grandmother, daughter and husband and two girls (10 and 12). Every doorway led to a different patiopart of the garden, which I enjoyed so much I never wanted to leave. The pool area was beautifully planted, a perfect spot to spend the day. Clearly this house belongs to a family that loves it very much. W were ok with fans, no ac, though it got a little warm in a couple of the bedrooms. We would have liked a more detailed map of the area, with some information about beaches and restaurants. However we explored and had a wonderful time. Thanks, Jens and Nicoletta.
