The picturesque little town of Röbel with approximately 6000 residents is located on the south-western shore of Lake Müritz.
There are lots of hiking and cycling paths available for you to enjoy. You might even spot cranes, fish eagles, sea eagles, megalithic grave monuments and old oak trees.
The unique landscape of the Mecklenburg Lake Plateau and the Müritz National Park are both worth the trip at any time of the year. It's also worth taking a round trip on Lake Müritz in an old-timey steamer.
Getting there
Take the A24 from Hamburg or Berlin. When you reach the Wittstock interchange, head towards Rostock on the A19 until you reach the Röbel exit. Follow the signs to Röbel. Head towards the harbour from here. Travel towards Marienfelde at the roundabout and then turn into Seebadstraße. Head from the Hotel Müritzgarten to the Müritz Seepark ("Lake Park").
