Cape Coral - the Venice of Florida
Cape Coral is the number one destination for boat lovers and for people who love being near water and the sunshine. Located on a peninsula at the mouth of the Caloosahatchee River, around 200 of the 650 total kilometres of canals in Cape Coral lead directly to the Gulf of Mexico (Gulf access). Fort Myers Beach and the dream beaches of Sanibel and Captiva Island are practically on the doorstep in Cape Coral. In no other city will you discover a larger number of elegant holiday villas. The huge offering of holiday houses in Cape Coral is paired with a marvellous infrastructure. Cape Coral is the third largest city in Florida (second largest in land area) and currently has approx. 160,000 inhabitants with an average age of 42. The city development plan forecasts a population of 400,000 by the year 2030. Therefore, this is a city with powerful development potential. In addition to numerous golf courses and parks, Cape Coral has its own small beach with fishing pier at an old yacht harbour.
In the meantime two new projects have joined the old yacht harbour - the Cape Harbour Marina and the Tarpon Point Marina. Both marinas offer good restaurants and shops:

From Germany direct to Fort Myers Beach International Airport.
You can reach your dream villa with a rental car in about 35 - 40 minutes from the airport.
Miami International Airport or Tampa International Airport are also good options. However, you must then count on a drive time of approx. 3 hours.
