On the beach there are all kinds of sportive possibilities. 5 Km from the house there's horse-riding, golf, swimming, jogging. Walking and riding a bike is lovely in the woods.
Holiday destination
The area of North Holland is very beautiful with its large beaches, nice woods and interesting villages, like the artistic place Bergen, the old city of Alkmaar with the cheese-market and also Haarlem and Amsterdam are very pretty.
On the other site of the area in 30-40 min distance the Ijsselmeer with nice places like Enkhuizen, Hoorn and Medemblik.
Getting there
From Amsterdam you follow the direction Haarlem, after that Alkmaar. There you take the road to Den Helder, till you leave that road to follow the signs to Bergen.
Then take the road to Bergen aan Zee. The house is situated next to the Sea-aquarium and the Main Beach entrance.

Die Gastgeber waren sehr freundlich und haben uns sehr herzlich begrüßt. Sie gaben uns Tipps von Sehenswürdigkeiten und Fahrradrouten. Die Umgebung ist sehr ruhig. Es gibt gute Einkaufsmöglichkeiten im Ort und man kann sich abends in die kleinen Restaurants und Kneipen setzen, wovon es viele dort gibt. Dort ist eine sehr schöne Atmosphäre. Es war ein richtig schöner Urlaub mit täglichen Ausflügen in die Umgebung.
