The beach and the dunes are just a few minutes' walk away (about 300 m), which means you have everything right on your doorstep, both the tranquility of nature and the lively activity of the place.
Getting there
By car:
Coming from Utrecht towards Amsterdam, take the exit towards Zaanstad.
Then take the A7 towards Leeuwarden until the exit Den Oever.
From there to Den Helder, the ferry port is signposted.
On Texel:
From the ferry port, head north on Pontweg (N501). At roundabout 10, turn right and continue to follow the signs for De Waal. Just before leaving Den Burg, turn right onto Waalderstraat. At the distinctive round glass building of OmnyAcc – on your left – make a sharp left onto Abbewaal. We are right at the end, until you can go no further, on the roundabout to the left of Gamma.
