Pozzallo is a real terrace on the Mediterranean, just 60 minutes from the island of Malta. The city has become one of the first favorite destinations in south-eastern Sicily for its sunny climate all year round, this means that it is also chosen in the low season by foreign tourists to take advantage of the Baroque Sea combination favored by the fabulous beaches of Pozzallo and the geographical position of the town which allows you to reach the main baroque attractions of southern Sicily in just a few minutes by car.
Getting there
To reach Pozzallo from Malta, you have several options.
**By bus**, if you disembark in Catania, you can continue with the AST company (Azienda Siciliana Trasporti) that connects Catania to Modica and Pozzallo in about 1,5 hours. It is a comfortable and frequent choice.
**By train**, you can take a regional train from Catania to Syracuse and then another to Pozzallo, ideal if you want a scenic journey, although slower than the bus.
**By catamaran**, the most direct means of transport from Malta, you can leave from Valletta with Virtu Ferries. The crossing lasts about 1 hour and 45 minutes and takes you directly to Pozzallo, offering comfort and a relaxing journey on the Mediterranean.
