a little bit to the south, you will find the unique nature reserve of Zwanenwater. The flora and fauna are of inestimable value and unique in the Netherlands. And rare plants grow here. Two beach lakes form a source of nutrition for the many birds who nest here.
Holiday destination
One of the oldest and most lovely bathing areas in the country with a rustic centre. Most of the shops are open on Sunday all year.
High dunes separate the village from the wonderful beach. Two beach pavilions are open year-round. A total of 5 beach pavilions are open from April to October.
In the summer, the beautiful white sandy beach awaits the many visitors. The location of the lively village centre behind the dunes is unique.
Getting there
The Dutch coast is quickly accessible and easy to reach by car.
By car, you can easily reach Callantsoog via the motorway to Alkmaar, then via the N9.
The nearest train station is in Schagen, from there there is a direct bus connection with line 152 to Callantsoog.
