Holiday destination
The small Ticinese village of Vairano belongs to the municipality of San Nazzaro and enjoys a peaceful location above Lake Maggiore. The village features a mini-golf course and the renowned Parco Botanico botanical garden, which is particularly famous in spring for its colourful camellia and magnolia blossoms.
Numerous beautiful hiking trails lead directly from Vairano into the surrounding mountains and natural landscape. The lake can be reached by car in approximately five minutes. There you will find a boat landing stage, a railway station, a public lido and several welcoming restaurants.
The popular towns of Locarno and Ascona are located on the opposite side of the lake. Both can be reached easily by bus, train or boat. The bus stop is situated directly in front of the house.
Italy is also within easy reach: the nearest border crossing is approximately 15 minutes away by car. From there, it is another 15 minutes to the famous weekly market in Luino.
