Holiday destination
Westkapelle is located directly by the sea, nestled between the beach, dike, dunes, a small lake/creek, and a forest area to the south of the town.
A hiking trail is signposted around the lake, and anglers can find their favored spot. Right at the town center, there is a small beach at the spot where the dike was breached in 1944.
To the south of the town begins the long beach that stretches all the way to Vlissingen! Approximately 12 km of sandy beach extend there, where you can take endless walks on the beach. Even during a hefty southwest storm, this beach route is lively, and not just on the beach itself.
In various beach pavilions, you can stop by for a good meal, with a fantastic view of the sea.
Getting there
You can arrive and depart every day. Arrivals from 4:00 PM (or by arrangement). Departures until 10:00 AM (or by arrangement). In the high season, arrival and departure only on Saturday (rental only per week).
