Holiday destination
The rural holiday park in Burgerbrug is located near the North Sea and the Petten forest (3 km) (North Holland). While cycling, you'll discover the historic cities of Schagen (12 km), Alkmaar (18 km), and Medemblik (30 km). It's a peaceful park, nestled in the polder landscape with animals, tulip fields (April/May), and a magnificent view. The area offers plenty of fun, including authentic villages, markets, street festivals, art, and cycling and hiking trails.
Getting there
You can reach Burgerbrug via the A3 motorway Cologne-Oberhausen (border crossing Emmerich-Elten), then continue on the A12 Arnhem-Utrecht. At Utrecht, switch to the A2 motorway towards Amsterdam. About 10 km before Amsterdam, you then take the A9 motorway and follow the signs for Schiphol/Haarlem/Alkmaar until the motorway ends at Alkmaar (large roundabout). Here, continue on the N9 towards Den Helder. After about 20 km, you will reach Burgervlotbrug. Here, turn right over the North Holland Canal towards Burgerbrug. After about 400 m, you will see the residence Polderblick on the left side and turn immediately left into Ruigeweg, after 100 m right entrance to the park Zijpersluis.
