For those who like fishing, there is the possibility to get a daily licence for a pond on the edge of the village of Postfelden. (5 min walking)
It is also possible to get licences at the pond of Rettenbach, two kilometers away from Postfelden.
The surrounding area or Regensburg (20 minutes driving) offers many high water quality swimming lakes.
Holiday destination
Postfelden is small village in the Southeast of Regensburg. It is surrounded by an untouched and hilly landscape the "Upper Bavarian Forest" is famous for.
The location is perfect for several activities like trips to the cities of Regensburg, Straubing & Passau and of course to the Bavarian Forest National Park.
Famous hiking and biking trails (e.g. Goldsteig) are running straight through Postfelden.
Nepal Pavillon (Wiesent) and Walhalla (Donaustauf) are popular destinations in that area.
Getting there
Take the motorway Nürnberg-Passau, exit at "Wörth a.d. D." and head towards Falkenstein.
After about 11 km of driving, when you pass the village of Rettenbach, turn left.
Very soon you will see the artficial barrier lake at the edge of the village of Postfelden.
Pass the bridge and the wooden pavillon in the middle of the village follow the street. After about 100 m you will see the holiday flat on the right side.

Wir haben die Osterferien 2023 in dieser liebevoll eingerichteten Wohnung verbracht. Neben den großzügigen, hellen Räumen haben uns die Abende am Kamin den Aufenthalt verschönt. Holz gab's kostenlos von den sehr netten und immer hilfsbereiten Vermietern. Sie betreiben auch das Hofcafe' direkt nebenan. In einer denkmalgeschützten Bauernstube gibt es den leckersten hausgemachten Kuchen überhaupt. Wohnung und Umgebung sind bestens geeignet, um zur Ruhe zu kommen und dem Alltagsstress zu entfliehen. Die 14 Tage haben uns nicht gereicht, um alle empfohlenen Wanderrouten und Sehenswürdigkeiten der Umgebung zu entdecken. Wir kommen auf alle Fälle gerne wieder, nicht zuletzt weil sich auch unsere Fellnase hier sehr wohl gefühlt hat.

Die Wohnung hat eine super Ausstattung mit einem schönen Ausblick über das Höllbachtal. Der Kamin brannte jeden Abend. Die Vermiter waren immer freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Wohnung war zudem Sauber und gemütlich eingerichtet. Wir empfehlen die Wohnung jederzeit gerne weiter.
