Holiday destination
The house enjoys a prime location in the historic centre of Muro Leccese, within easy reach of Lecce and ideally placed for exploring the whole of Salento. The beautiful swimming coves along the Adriatic coast and the town of Otranto are around 20 minutes away by car, while the sandy beaches and crystal-clear waters of the Ionian coast are approximately 45 minutes away. Lecce—known as the Florence of the South—is around a 30-minute drive, and Gallipoli about 45 minutes.
A greengrocer is conveniently located at the end of the street. Within a five-minute walk, you’ll find three excellent restaurants, a bakery, a café, a fresh pasta maker, a fishmonger, a grocery shop and a pharmacy.
Getting there
Fly to Brindisi Airport and pick up a rental car for the approximately one-hour drive to the house. Alternatively, fly to Bari Airport, around two hours away by car.
If travelling in your own vehicle, follow the E55 to Brindisi, then continue via the SS613, SS694, SS16 and SS275, taking the exit for Muro Leccese (Muro L.).
A car is recommended for exploring the surrounding area.

Enjoying a coffee and a cornetto with a newspaper at the café on the piazza, picking up the finest ingredients for dinner from the pasta maker or fishmonger around the corner, or taking a 20-minute drive to the coast early in the morning for a swim in the calm sea… For us, this is what slowing down and savouring life is all about.
