Other recreational opportunities
Coffee roasters in the Naturparkhaus, experience dinghy tour on the Neisse, ice skate at the rink, and from 2015 enjoy our new Naturpark garden in Waltersdorf. The events in the Quirlehaus with Katrin and Peter are a set date for many guests. A textile nature trail in the village of Grossschönau was inaugurated in 2014.
Holiday destination
The Zittauer Mountains Nature Park offers a wide range of activities and options to meet every taste. The diverse landscape of our smallest low mountain range in the border triangle is practically made for it.
You'll find active relaxation on hikes, bike tours or skiing, or swimming in the Trixi water park. A trip with the steam driven small gage railway from Zittau to Jonsdorf or Oybin is lovely as well.
Excursions to the neighbouring country, such as to Prague, are really worth the trip.
Getting there
From the A4 from Dresden, take the Bautzen Ost exit, drive through Löbau and Ebersbach to the village of Grossschönau with the districts of Waltersdorf and Saalendorf.
Alternatively, you can take the train to Großschönau or Zittau.

Eine tolle Landhaus-Unterkunft. Sehr gepflegt. Wir wurden wärmstens Empfangen und fein umsorgt - so lebt man die echte Gastfreundlichkeit! Wandern und die Kleinode mitten in Zittauer Gebirge entdecken. Die Seele bleibt hier für immer verliebt! Schade nur, daß die schöne Zeit so schnell vorbei war und wir nach Hause mußten;) Wir kommen gerne wieder. Herzlichen Dank liebe Familie Hockert wir empfehlen Sie gerne weiter!

Wir wurden so herzlich empfangen. Die Gastgeberin ist eine sehr liebevolle Person, und man spürt wirklich ihre Persönlichkeit; ihre positive Energie durchdringt die Unterkunft. Die Liebe steckt in jedem Detail, vom Garten vor der Tür bis zum kleinen, hübschen Frühstücksraum. Die Umgebung ist rein idyllisch, fern von Industrie und Lärm, eingebettet zwischen frischen grünen Wiesen und den Zittauer Bergen. Der Bauernhof bietet Katzen und Hühner sowie frische Eier. Wir sind sehr dankbar, diesen Ort gefunden zu haben, und würden gerne zurückkommen â¤ï¸
