Our alpine hut is situated at the forefront of a small village of huts, surrounded by a breathtaking mountain world! There are numerous options for both small and extensive mountain tours. For instance: the Mohar summit, the Stellkopf, the Große Sadnig, the Makerni Spitze, and the circular hiking trail "Moos Weg" is botanically a feast for the eyes and easily manageable with small children or elderly individuals.
Getting there
Arrival options: coming from Bavaria, via the Pass Thurn, Felbertauern Tunnel, Lienz, over the Iselsberg Pass towards Großglockner (Heiligenblut), up to Mörtschach, in Mörtschach turn right into Astental approximately 10 km to the mountain hut.
Arrival from Carinthia, via the Tauern motorway up to Spittal an der Drau, Möllbrücke, turn right into the Möll Valley up to Winklern, then turn right towards Großglockner (Heiligenblut) up to Mörtschach, in Mörtschach turn right into Astental approximately 10 km to the mountain hut.

Wunderschöne Hütte in wundervoller Lage oberhalb des Sadnighauses, Ruhe und Erholung pur. Die Hütten-Küche ist sauber und super ausgestattet. Das Bad wurde frisch renoviert, ganz toll gemacht. Holz ist vorhanden, abends den Ofen anzumachen, ist urgemütlich. Für draußen gibt es alles, was man brauchen kann. Als W-LAN und Bad-Heizung 2 Tage ausfielen, wurde sich gleich gekümmert, hierfür vielen Dank.
NICHT SUPER: In der Beschreibung steht 3 Schlafzimmer, man sieht sogar Fotos von einem Dachgeschoss mit zwei Lese-Sesseln. Vor Ort jedoch war das DG mit Schloss verriegelt. Auf Nachfrage die Antwort: Sie sind ja nur zu dritt, das hätten Sie vorher anmelden müssen, kostet 20 Euro/Tag mehr. Wir finden, für 130 Euro/Nacht sollte man die ganze Hütte, wie gezeigt, nutzen dürfen oder vorab darauf hingewiesen werden.
