There is a daily market with fresh fishm fruits and vegetables in walking distance. You don't need no car to reach shops, bakery, pharmacy, bank etc.
The sea is ideal for surfers, too. You can easily organize a daytrip by ferryboat to Malta from Pozzallo (15 min. from Donnalucata).
Holiday destination
Donnalucata is a very nice and quiet fishing village. You can easily organize trips to Noto, Syracuse, Catania or Taormina. In the hinterland there are Scicli, Modica and Ragusa etc., you can reach in 8 - 30 minutes.
The house is located in Donnalucata, a part of Scicli, one of Sicily's most beautiful baroque towns. It's only a few steps away from the fine sandy beach that fits very well throughout the whole year to make long walks e.g.
In Sicily you have mild temperatures between 15-18 degrees in winter. The location is very quiet. There is no traffic, and you can park the car just around the corner. The apartment can be heated. Everything is in walking distance.
Getting there
From the airport Catania you have to take the autostrada in direction to Siracusa. After the exit Rosolini you have to follow Modica/Scicli and the Donnalucata. It takes about 1,5 h from the airport.

Ich habe hier einen angenehmen Urlaub genossen, sowohl wegen der Schönheit der Landschaften, der durchweg erstklassigen Speisen als auch, nicht zuletzt, der gemütlichen Wohnung mit Blick auf das Meer. Ein Ort, den man für die Zukunft in Erinnerung behalten und zu dem man zurückkehren möchte!
