Other recreational opportunities
Excellent possibilities for sailing, kayaking and rowing are only about 100 meters away from the Schifferwiege. Horse riding, playing tennis, surfing, kiting and fishing can be done within the small village of Wustrow. A golf course is located in the next town.
Art exhibitions and concerts can be enjoyed in Wustrow and Ahrenshoop.
Holiday destination
The Schifferwiege is located in the historic heart of Wustrow. The inlet sea is only a few meters away and can be seen in winter time from the sleeping room. The beautiful beach with a length of over 30 kilometers is only ten walking minutes away from the holiday home. The Schifferwiege is surrounded by thatched and historic houses, the old church and small restaurants.
The small village has excellent possibilities for horse riding, sailing, kayaking, surfing and playing tennis. There are nearly unlimited alternatives for long hiking and cycling tours.
The third largest German National Park with totally unspoiled and beautiful nature is close by and can be easily reached in a short cycling tour.
Getting there
From Hamburg or Berlin on the freeway to the Rostock Junction (A19/A20) and further on the A19 in the direction of Rostock Harbor. Take the Exit Rebnitz-Damgarten (B105). Follow the B105 to the turnoff Dierhagen (L21). Follow the L21 to Wustrow. The Schifferwiege is opposite to the Gothic Church in the center of the village.

Gerade in der Nebensaison im November hat es uns sehr gut gefallen.
Bei kaltem Wetter den Kamin nutzen, im Café gegenüber einen heißen Sanddornsaft trinken, erleben wie Wustrow weihnachtlich geschmückt wird. Direkt vom Haus in alle Richtungen spazieren können und die Vögelschwärme hören und beobachten oder im schönen Haus entspannen, sehr erholsam und empfehlenswert. Auch der Service der Ferienhaus Verwaltung war sehr angenehm. Beim ersten Schneefall wurde sofort geräumt. Wir würden wiederkommen.

Das Haus ist wunderschoen renoviert und eingerichtet. Dies war mein zweiter Urlaub in der Schifferwiege und es war genauso, wie ich es in Erinnerung hatte. Kueche perfekt ausgestattet fuer einen Urlaub (auch, wenn man mal etwas aufwendiger kochen moechte); gute Matratzen, Haus blitzblank wenn man ankommt; Kamin funktioniert einwandfrei, es gibt eine Waschmaschine UND Trockner (einfach super praktisch).
Vielleicht nicht ganz preiswert, aber das Geld wert!
