The northern Wittow peninsula is ideal for cycling due to its flat lagoon landscape. You can, for example, ride from Vitt, Goor, Dranske, Kreptitzer Heide, Altenkirchen, Wiek, Kuhle, Juliusruh and Breege. You can also rent a bike in advance. For example, if you make a reservation at www.ruegen-travel.de/ruegen-fahrrad-verleih-mieten.php, your bikes will be delivered to the "Rügenspitze" building.
Holiday destination
The Wittow peninsula offers enchanting variety with meadows, fields, forests, sandy beaches, stone beaches, steep banks and always great views of the Baltic Sea. In Putgarten and Kap Arkona there are various restaurants, shops, arts and crafts, a playground, an old bunker with maritime exhibitions and, of course, great lighthouses. The picturesque fishing village of Vitt is also nearby.
Getting there
From Stralsund follow the B96 to Sagard. Shortly before Sagard, turn left towards Glowe. Follow the road until you reach Juliusruh. Shortly before the petrol station in Altenkirchen, turn right and follow the signs towards Kap Arkona. Drive past the large parking lot in Putgarten and turn right onto the one-way street. Go through the village, past the Rügenhof to the old school. The Rügenspitze building is located on the left side, right next to the old school.

Die Wohnung hat alles was man braucht, auch die Küche ist perfekt ausgestattet um täglich frisch zu kochen. Es fehlt einen an nichts. Es war ein toller Jahreswechsel.
