Visit the international casino, the brine thermal bath, the fairy tale forest, tennis courts, 18-hole golf course or go horse-drawn sleigh rides, the Baumwipelpfad or the Skyrope high ropes course.
And since recently:
the world's longest suspension bridge for pedestrians with a total length of 483 meters. The bridge floats about one hundred meters above the reservoir of the Rappbode dam, which lies in the Upper Harz shortly behind the border with Lower Saxony.
Highlights of the year are the Festival of Lights, the Gallop Race Week on the racecourse and the Chestnut Festival.
Holiday destination
Our apartment is absolutely quiet in a dead end road at the edge of the forest. Immediately in front of the house start wonderful summer and winter hiking trails through mountain and valley or float with the Burgberg train (can be reached in less than 10 minutes) in a widely ramified hiking paradise and can be indulged in cozy snack stations and restaurants gastronomic.
With a good 25,000 inhabitants Bad Harzburg is the largest health resort in the Harz. More than half a million guests are welcomed here year after year.
There are a variety of recreational opportunities:
more than 150 km well maintained hiking trails with cozy snack stations, carriage and sleigh rides, horse racetrack, 18-hole golf course, internal casino, thermal brine bath with the most modern spa services, spa park, more than 80 restaurants and cafes, very large and beautiful Shopping mile, all sports such as Tennis, golf, sailing, horse riding, bowling, skiing, tobogganing, trips to historic cities such as Goslar, Wernigerode, Quedlinburg etc, Burgberg train, with the steam train to the highest mountain of the Harz, the "Brocken" and much more.
Getting there
Arriving by car from the north: A2 to Braunschweig, then via A 391 and A 39 to the A395 in the direction of Bad Harzburg, then B6 and B4 to Bad Harzburg.
Arriving by car from the west: A7 to Rhüden-Harz, then the B82 towards Bad Harzburg, then B6 and B4 to Bad Harzburg.
Arriving by car from the east: B6 and B4 to Bad Harzburg
In Bad Harzburg drive at the traffic lights (1st traffic light after bridge) in the west / right of the B4 outgoing road turn, then first left on the road and drive through to the end
Arrival by train to the train station in Bad Harzburg. Then you can take a taxi from the taxi stand at the station.

Seit 2006 habe ich jetzt bereits 17 mal in den Appartements 4091 und 5040 für meine Wanderurlaube gewohnt und bin nach wie vor sehr zufrieden dort. Das große Gebäude erschreckt zunächst, ist aber sehr ruhig. Der Schlüssel - Safe ist eine gute Sache. Die Betreuerin der Wohnung ist freundlich und sehr hilfsbereit. Die Wohn-/ Ausgangslage für Wanderungen könnte nicht besser sein. Die kostenlose Busbenutzung (Hatix) ist eine tolle Sache. Einziger Wermutstropfen: Ständige Parkplatznot.

Immer wieder würden wir hier Urlaub machen! Die Wohnung ist toll eingerichtet. In der Küche sind sämtliche Elektrogeräte vorhanden! Besonders wertvoll für uns ist die Ruhe welche im Mietbereich und der Gegend vorhanden ist. Ein toller Ausblick vom Balkon auf die Seilbahn und die Canossasäule ist ausderdem möglich. Uns gefällt die unkomplizierte Wohnungsübergabe und Abnahme. Prima ist auch , dass mann sich zum Frühstück frische Brötchen bestellen kann. Der Ort bietet so viel reizvolles, von Minigolf, Trinkhalle, Naturfreundehaus, Waldwipfelpfad u.v.m. !! Liebend gerne wieder.
