The city of Dresden with all its tourist attractions, the nearby Elbe Sandstone Mountains, the Ore Mountains (Erzgebirge), the Lusatia region and even the Spreewald area (which can be reached in 1 hour) all provide possibilities for an active programme of leisure activities. The Gompitz horse riding stables are located approx. 10 minutes away.
Holiday destination
The house sits at the start of a street that's predominantly lined by single-family homes in the western part of Dresden. The A4 motorway is around 3 minutes' drive away by car and it's just 6km to the city centre.
You can reach the centre easily by car or by tram - the final stop on the tram line is around 4 minutes away by foot. It also only takes 10 minutes to get to the Zschoner Grund nature area that's a great place for walks in natural surroundings.
High hedges and an earth wall along the street ("Am Lehmberg") all screen off the property effectively.
Getting there
By car, via the A4 motorway, exit "Dresden Altstadt".
By plane, fly to Dresden Klotzsche, then it's 12km in a taxi (9km of which are on the motorway).
By train, journey to Dresden railway station then travel approx. 6km by taxi or on the tram.
