The house is set in a quiet location in a cul-de-sac. The surrounding landscape varies between plain and rolling. Shops, doctors, a pharmacy, a bank and post office are within walking distance.
The abbey and brewery are 800 metres from here and accessible by car or a lift.
The Orff Festival in Andechs is famous as the most important place for the opus of the composer Carl Orff and takes place during the summer months.
Carl Orff was buried at his request in a side chapel of the Andechs Abbey.
Getting there
Via Autobahn A 95 München-Garmisch to Starnberg and then towards Herrsching.
Via Autobahn A 96 München-Lindau to Gilching, then towards Herrsching and Andechs. In Erling/Andechs up to the red promotional sigh "Gärtnerei Dorn" to turn into the road "Gartenstraße" at the lowest point. Turn right into the first street named "Moosweg" and there you are!

Wir (3 erwachsene Personen, davon eine Rolli-Fahrerin) waren Ende September 2025 bei schönstem Wetter Gäste der Ferienwohnung Dorn und waren total begeistert. Die FeWo ist super ausgestattet, über alltägliche Gegenstände bis hin zu Moskitoschutz für die schöne Terrasse ist alles (wir meinen wirklich ALLES) vorhanden. Die Wohnung ist für Rolli-Fahrer bestens geeignet - barrierefrei und ohne Stolperfallen. Der große Parkplatz direkt vor dem Haus erleichtert das Verladen des Rollstuhls und Gepäcks. Die Gastgeberin Irene ist eine herzliche Frau und man spürt, dass ihr das Wohlergehen ihrer Gäste am Herzen liegt. Frisches Gemüse und verschiedene Getränke waren liebevoll für die Gäste aus Nürnberg vorbereitet. Die Terrasse und der Blick aus dem Fenster ist ein Blumentraum. Wir kommen gerne wieder :-)

Wir sind im Paradies! Das war unser Ausruf, als wir im Moosweg 10 angekommen waren, beeindruckt von der bunten Blütenpracht rund um die Ferienwohnung. Dieser Eindruck hat sich fortgesetzt, als wir die Wohnung erkundet haben: es ist wirklich alles vorhanden, was in der Beschreibung erwähnt ist, sogar Insektenschutzgitter an allen Fenstern! Die Wohnung liegt am Ende einer Sackgasse, kein Verkehrslärm, sie ist also sehr ruhig gelegen. Irene Dorn ist eine erfahrene, aufmerksame und sehr hilfsbereite Gastgeberin, denn sie ist in der Gastronomie groß geworden.
Wer einen rundum schönen Urlaub verbringen möchte, ist im Moosweg 10 sehr gut aufgehoben!
