The Grevelingenmeer with its beach is in close proximity, with supermarkets and restaurants within walking distance. Beautiful beaches can be found in Stellendam, Ouddorp, Rockanje, Browersdam, and Renesse; all about 20-30 minutes away. These places also offer good shopping and leisure opportunities, and Rotterdam is about 30 minutes away.
In the nature reserve, which is about 2 km from the park, you can enjoy great cycling and hiking tours.

Wir haben eine sehr schöne und erholsame Woche hier verbracht. Die Ausstattung im Haus war sehr gut, die Matratzen in den Betten waren ebenfalls sehr gut. Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt. Der Ferienpark ist auch
insgesamt sehr gepflegt und auch für einen Urlaub mit Kindern empfehlenswert.

Das Ferienhaus Steiner lässt kaum einen Wunsch offen. Es ist gepflegt und super ausgestattet. Die umfangreiche Kücheneinrichtung ist dabei besonders hervorzuheben. Es fehlt an nichts! Der kleine Garten ist wunderschön angelegt und von außen nicht einsehbar (kann bei Dunkelheit sogar romantisch illuminiert werden). Am Haus sind zwei Terrassen, wovon eine überdacht ist (dient auch als Unterstand für Fahrräder!). Wir waren in diesem Jahr zum 2. Mal in dem Ferienhaus und haben uns immer wohlgefühlt.
Die Umgebung ist sehr ruhig und geeignet für viele Freizeitaktivitäten wie Wandern, Radtouren u. Windsurfen).
Das gastronomische Angebot in Herkingen ist eher bescheiden. Leider soll Ende September 2025 auch der einzige Supermarkt im Ort schließen.
