One highlight is a visit at the roman museum. For children, the amusement park ‚Ketteler Hof‘ is a must. The park is famous for its climbing options and water play grounds. The lake, the canal and numerous bike riding paths make Haltern a very attractive holiday destination.
Holiday destination
You can find a bakery (with Café) as well as a quiet authentic Indian Restaurant, a pizzeria and a takeaway inside the village. The beautiful town of Haltern am See is 5km away. Over there you have charming cafés, restaurants and stores. Due to the lake and various forests, Haltern and its surroundings became one of the most liked recreation areas with numerous leisure activities and bike paths. Because of good railway connections, you can easily reach cities such as Münster (30 Minute train ride) and Düsseldorf (1 hour train ride). The distance to the train station is 4km, the bus stop is 100 meters away.
Getting there
To get there by car, you take Autobahn A 43 (Wuppertal-Münster) or A42 from Düsseldorf via Essen which becomes L612 that goes directly to Flaesheim. To get there by train, you take the train to Haltern am See, and from there the bus (number 288, Haltern-Datteln) to Flaesheim. The bus stop ‚Zum Stiftsplatz‘ is 100 meters from the vacation home.

Die Ferienwohnung hat uns sehr gut gefallen,die Umgebung ebenfalls.
Die Vermieter waren sehr aufmerksam und richtig freundlich.
Die Einrichtung war so ganz unser Geschmack,die Ausstattung perfekt.
