For lovers of local markets there is Revel with its fine Saturday market or Castelnaudary (10 mn) on Mondays. Also a must visit: Mirepoix offers a colorful market on Mondays and is the gateway to the mysterious Cathar region (Montsegur). Nearby are the authentic villages and lakes of the Montagne Noire. Interesting is also the city of Albi, its impressive cathedral and the Toulouse Lautrec Museum.
Holiday destination
Soupex is perfectly located in the heart of the Lauragais hills, a stone's throw from the Canal du Midi. A wonderfully quiet hiking and cycling area, almost equally far from the medieval city of Carcassonne with its wine region and the picturesque but vibrantToulouse (museums, cafés and shopping). Nearby are the authentic villages and lakes of Montagne Noire, which you can visit on foot, by bike or by car. Côté cuisine we would be happy to recommend some beautiful wine domains and there are numerous simple but good and inexpensive restaurants in the area where you can try the local cuisine.

Wie op zoek is naar een plek met karakter en rust, zit helemaal goed bij Domaine du Moment in Soupex. Deze charmante B&B combineert een warme, persoonlijke sfeer met een retro-chique inrichting die tot in de puntjes is verzorgd. Elk detail klopt — van het interieur tot de rustige tuin._x000D_

Wat het verblijf echt bijzonder maakt, zijn de hosts Nathalie en Pepe. Ze zijn oprecht gastvrij en denken met je mee. Dankzij hun tips ontdekten we prachtige wandelroutes, sfeervolle dorpjes en fijne restaurants in de omgeving._x000D_

De ligging is perfect voor wie rust zoekt: tussen de heuvels van de Lauragais, vlak bij het Canal du Midi en met uitzicht op de Pyreneeën. Het zwembad is een heerlijke plek om af te koelen en te genieten van de stilte en het groen._x000D_

Ons verblijf bij Domaine du Moment was simpelweg fantastisch. Vanaf het moment dat we aankwamen voelden we ons zó welkom – de ontvangst door Nathalie en Pepe was warm, persoonlijk en met oprechte aandacht. Wat een fantastische hosts! Je voelt je meteen thuis door hun gastvrijheid, enthousiasme en oog voor detail.||De sfeer in de B&B is uniek: stijlvol, charmant en met karakter. Iedere kamer heeft een eigen uitstraling en is prachtig ingericht, elk met een eigen badkamer en toilet – heerlijk comfortabel! En de bedden... zó lekker, we hebben zelden zó goed geslapen.||De omgeving is een plaatje: rust, ruimte, natuur en mooie dorpjes om te ontdekken. Een perfecte plek om echt tot rust te komen én te genieten van alles wat Zuid-Frankrijk te bieden heeft.||Domaine du Moment is wat ons betreft een verborgen juweel.|We kijken nu al uit naar een volgende keer – dankjewel Nathalie en Pepe!
