Ansitz Wendelstein is nestled in the heart of the Ãœberetsch vineyard landscape, adorned with numerous castles and manors, this one having been built in 1611 and completely renovated by the Niedermayr family. The local area features 2 Montiggl Lakes with outdoor swimming facilities, accessible by bus, and is highly suitable for cycling tours.

Our operation, open all year round, also serves as a base for ski day trips to various ski areas of the region during the winter months: Alpe di Siusi, Val d'Ultimo, Obereggen, Merano 2000, and the Dolomites.
The special features of the surrounding area include our many castles, manors, and estates, fruit and vineyard landscapes surrounded by the beautiful mountains.
The gardens of Trauttmansdorff Castle, wine culture weeks, cellar tours, South Tyrolean bike paths, Ötzi the Iceman, Messner Mountain Museum, original South Tyrolean Christmas markets, and the medieval Moos Castle.

Wir hatten einen sehr angenehmen Aufenthalt. Das Zimmer mit Balkon ist zwar eher klein, bietet jedoch durch die tiefen Schränke ausreichend Stauraum für alles. Spätnachmittag hat man auf den Balkon immer Sonne gehabt. Die Gastgeberin war äußerst herzlich und hat uns jeden Morgen das Frühstück mit einer zusätzlichen Auswahl bereichert. Wir haben uns rundum wohlgefühlt

Sowohl der Ansitz Wendelstein als auch Frau Niedermayr sind gut in Schuß. Vom netten Empfang mit einem Aperitif über das liebevoll zubereitete Frühstück - es hat alles gepasst. Die schöne Lage und die sauberen, gut ausgestatteten Zimmer rufen ebenfalls nach einer Wiederholung.
