The holiday houses C'era una volta Scicli are located in south eastern Sicily, in the suggestive and picturesque Cava di San Bartolomeo, facing the rocky-settlement of Chiafura on the way from Noto and Siracusa and 5-10 minutes drive to the sea. At short distance churches, old and rich palaces, suggestive alleys and many restaurants, dolcerie and wine shops. They are well located to visit the Sicilian late-baroque architecture of Scicli, Modica and Ragusa Ibla, part of Unesco world heritage.
Getting there
We are well located to visit South-Eastern Sicily in one week. You car reach us keeping the highway Catania, Siracusa, Gela till Rosolini. Continue to Pozzallo and Sampieri. Than at the roundabout turn right direction Scicli. Once in Scicli ask for Piazza Italia and Chiesa di San Bartolomeo.

Francesca ist eine sehr nette hilfsbereite Vermieterin. Bei Fragen antwortet sie zügig. Das alte Steinhaus ist gut ausgestattet und hat eine tolle Dachterrasse. Man wohnt mitten zwischen Italienern, aber ruhig und zentrumsnah. Auch der Strand in Sampieri ist schnell zu erreichen und empfehlenswert. Man kann sich mehrere schöne Städte in der Umgebung anschauen. Der kleine Supermarkt ist fast um die Ecke. Alles in allem ist das Haus sehr zu empfehlen. Danke Francesca für die super Betreuung!

Mit der Lage und Ausstattung der Wohnung taucht man nahtlos ins sizilianische Leben ein. In diesem "Reihenhaus" ist alles funktional, nichts übertrieben und dabei sehr ansprechend. Besonders das von Touristen noch nicht überlaufende Scicli, aber auch Ragusa und Modica haben uns mit ihrer Architektur und ihrer Lebensfreude begeistert. Zeitweise kommen Bilder aus den Filmen von Pasolini und Visconti in Erinnerung. Liebe Francesca, Dir und Deiner Familie wünschen wir ein glückliches neues Jahr und sagen nochmals Danke.
