Holiday destination

Near Palazzo Valentino, there are other magnificent villas with their parks from the 19th century. Villa Anelli is currently home to over 300 different species of camellias. Also worth mentioning is Villa PasciÃ (or Pasha in plain English), which was built by a Pasha who came from Egypt. Among the Pasha's guests was Guiseppe Verdi, and it is said that it was here that he was inspired to write his opera Aida. He immediately began composing, as Aida was supposed to be ready for the opening ceremony of the Suez Canal in 1869. Aida was not yet complete when Palazzo Valentino had already been standing for a quarter of a century in its sun-drenched spot, in close proximity to Villa PasciÃ .

Als Großfamilie im Alter von 70 Jahren bis 6 Monaten verbrachten wir einen wunderschönen Urlaub. Wir wollten, gemeinsam in einer friedlichen und einladenden Umgebung zu entspannen, und der Palazzo hat unsere Erwartungen mehr als erfüllt. Der Palazzo bietet viele verschiedene Bereiche, in denen man sich gemeinsam als auch in privater Atmosphäre aufhalten kann. Wir haben unser Erlebnis noch bereichert, indem wir ein Boot gemietet haben, um die Umgebung des Sees ohne Auto zu erkunden. Der Garten ist idyllisch und das Haus charmant, Highlight ist aber die Terrasse mit ihrem Seeblick bei Vollmond. Das größte Lob : während unseres gesamten Aufenthalts niemand auf die Idee kam, einen TV oder PC zu benutzen!

Der Palazzo Valentino ist für uns ein idealer Platz für den Familienurlaub, bereits zum 4. mal haben wir in diesem wunderschönen Haus am Lago Maggiore gewohnt und werden wieder kommen. Das Haus liegt oberhalb des Sees, durch ein schmiedeeisernes Tor blickt man auf den gepflegten Garten und den Springbrunnen vor der rosa Fassade des denkmalgeschützten Hauses. Der Besitzer Valentino begrüßt seine Gäste persönlich am Tor, heisst sie willkommen und übergibt ihnen die Schlüsseln für ihr Zuhause auf Zeit. Das Haus mit seinen unterschiedlichen Zimmern hat großen Charm, es wurde liebevoll restauriert und sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet und bietet ausreichend Platz für 8-12 Gäste. Die grosse Küche und die Terrasse mit freien Blick über den See sind unsere Lieblingsplätze. Wir finden, schöner gehts nicht!
