Cancellation policy
Cancellation by the renter
The renter is at any time entitled to withdraw from the rental contract. The cancellation notice will be effective once it is received by the lessor. In order avoid any discrepancies later on, it is strongly recommended to do this in writing (letter, email)! If the renter cancels up to 12
weeks prior to arrival, there are no costs involved. In case a deposit was paid,
the amount will be refunded. If the lessee cancels after the aforementioned 12 weeks, the host may, in accordance with Clause 651j BGB, request a reasonable compensation on behalf of the lessor. Compensation payment: up to 90 days prior to arrival - 25% of the total rental price;
up to 60 days prior to arrival - 35% of the total rental price;
up to 30 days prior to arrival - 50% of the total rental price;
later than that or in case of a no-show: 100% of the total rental price.

Holiday destination
Our holiday home borders on the river Sieg, situated on one of very few water properties on a river in North Rhine-Westphalia.
The Windeck region: only 60 km from Cologne, 90 km from Düsseldorf and 50 km from Bonn, the most beautiful section of the river Sieg; in the heart of the nature park Bergisches Land you'll find the recreation area 'Windecker Ländchen'. This is where the Sieg runs in winding loops.
In the Sieg valley, forested hilltops rise from from 100 to 378 metres in height, with over 100 picturesque residential areas, farmsteads, villages and hamlets scattered amidst the hills.
Half of the Windecker Ländchen consists of forests and offers tranquillity and recreation. 300 km of bike paths and hiking trails make it an ideal area for cycling and hiking.
Getting there
The nearest autobahn exits are about 25 km away. After taking the exit, either drive past the small rivers Beöl, Anger or Sieg on picturesque streets, or from Murch through the low mountain range region Bergisches Land until you reach our house.

Ein geschmackvoll saniertes Ferienhaus mit sehr guter Ausstattung, Sauna und Steg zum Einstieg in die Sieg. Wir fahren seit mehreren Jahren zu sechst mit unseren inzwischen erwachsenen Kindern in das Haus und fühlen uns sehr wohl. Der Ort ist überschaubar groß. Es gibt einen Rewe.

Total cosy. Unfassbar gut geschlafen. Morgendliches Schwimmen vor dem
Frühstück. In der Sonne gelesen. Das Wasserrauschen der Sieg ist unglaublich kontemplativ. Abends mit dem Kinderpulk gegrillt. Nochmal schwimmen bzw mit dem SUB raus, dann Sauna oder Waffelessen am Kiosk ( umgebauter Zirkuswagen). Ehrlich? Ich wollte da nie wieder weg.
